2. Scope
This privacy policy applies to the website instinctgrappling.ch and the associated online shop. It explains what personal data we collect, for what purpose, and with whom it is shared.
3. Data We Collect
When visiting the website: When you access our website, our hosting provider (Netlify, Inc., USA) automatically processes technical access data (IP address, time of access, page visited, browser type). This data is required for the technical operation of the website. If you consent via our cookie banner, we additionally use Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel for website analysis and advertising measurement (see section 4).
When placing an order: When you place an order, we collect and process: first name, last name, email address, shipping address, and payment information (via Stripe, see section 5). This data is used solely to fulfil your order.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We use your browser's local storage (localStorage) for two purposes: to save shopping bag contents between visits (key ig_cart_v1) and to remember your cookie consent choice (key ig_cookie_consent). This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us.
When you accept cookies via our cookie banner, we load the following analytics and advertising cookies/technologies:
Google Analytics 4: Web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Purpose: website analysis (visitor numbers, usage behaviour). Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Meta Pixel: Advertising and measurement technology provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland. Purpose: advertising measurement (evaluating the effectiveness of our ads on Facebook/Instagram). Privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy
Both services are only loaded after you actively accept cookies in our cookie banner. If you decline or take no action, neither service is loaded. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site, which will show the cookie banner again on your next visit.
5. Third Parties and Data Transfers
Stripe (payment processing): Orders are processed through Stripe, Inc. (USA). During checkout, you are redirected to Stripe's platform, where Stripe collects data for payment processing and fraud prevention in its own capacity (including name, email, payment details, IP address, device data). Stripe acts in part as an independent data controller. For details, see Stripe's privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy
Netlify (hosting): Our website is hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Netlify processes technical access data as part of hosting. Privacy policy: netlify.com/privacy
Google Fonts: To display the JetBrains Mono typeface, font files are loaded from Google (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com). Your IP address is transmitted to Google in the process. Google does not set cookies via this service. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
unpkg (CDN): Technical libraries required to render the website are loaded from unpkg.com. Your IP address is transmitted to the operator. No cookies are set.
6. International Data Transfers
Through the use of Stripe, Netlify, Google Fonts, unpkg, and (with your consent) Google Analytics 4 and the Meta Pixel, personal data (in particular IP addresses) is transferred to the United States. The USA provides adequate data protection under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework within the meaning of the revDSG (Art. 16). Stripe, Netlify, Google, and Meta are certified under the Data Privacy Framework.
7. Data Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. All data is transmitted in encrypted form (HTTPS/TLS). Payment data is processed exclusively by Stripe - we have no access to your card details.
8. Data Retention
Order data is retained as long as required for contract fulfilment and as long as statutory retention obligations apply (generally 10 years under Swiss Code of Obligations, Art. 958f).
9. Your Rights
You have the right to access the personal data stored about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to request deletion (where no statutory retention obligation applies), to restrict processing, and to data portability.
To exercise your rights, contact us at: {{ privacyEmail }}
10. Changes
We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy at any time. The current version is published on our website. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this document.
